Has your Lincrusta suffered some damage over the years? Have you completed some DIY and need to patch up your Lincrusta? If you have a current design then no problem; you can purchase more of the same. Lincrusta has no batch numbers and as it is painted in your chosen finish, it is something that can be hung and painted again and again, years apart. With a 140 year history, we often have enquiries about historical designs that are no longer being produced. There is an solution to this; we sell restoration kits that can be used to take an impression of an original design and replicate it in other areas. Although developed for the restoration of Lincrusta, it can also be used to restore other high relief painted wallcoverings such as Anaglypta, Cameoid, and Lignomur.
A silicone mix is used on the full pattern repeat of the original design to create a mould.

Once the mould is made thin layers of varying jesmonite mix are painted on to the cast with a layer of fibreglass matting before the 3rd and final coat. The cast is then left to fully cure and harden.

Once dry the cast is then turned over and the silicone mould peeled away to revel your new piece of Lincrusta! This can then be trimmed and sanded where necessarily and is ready to apply to your wall.
