A huge fan of Lincrusta, Rob at Quite Simply French had previously chosen our Villa Louis, with a distressed black finish, to wrap around the bar front. So when this riverside restaurant decided to open luxury rooms there had to be some Lincrusta in there somewhere! One of our oldest designs, Elizabeth, was chosen to be used in two of the bedrooms as a framed feature behind the beds.
Elizabeth mirrors the orderly geometric patterns so favoured in English stately homes of the 16th century and this regal design was perfect for the luxurious and unique look Rob was looking for. One of our Advanced approved installers, Frank Holmes, was again chosen to hang and finish the Lincrusta and the end result is spectacular.
One of the panels is finished with an aged copper paint effect and the other in simple white with gold gilded highlights. Both panels are encased within gilded frames for extra opulence. All the finished rooms are beautiful and LIncrusta compliments all the other unique design features in the scheme.
